§ Services / Legacy .NET modernization

Legacy .NET modernization

Your old .NET app still runs the business, but it is hard to change, hard to hire for and stuck on Windows servers. I move it to modern .NET in small, safe steps, so nothing stops while the work happens.

§ Typical projects

  • A Web Forms admin panel rebuilt as ASP.NET Core APIs with a React front end
  • An ASP.NET MVC 5 app upgraded to ASP.NET Core, page by page
  • A Windows-only service moved into a Docker container

§ What is included

  • Code and dependency review with a written upgrade plan and fixed quote
  • .NET Framework to modern .NET, ASP.NET MVC and Web Forms to ASP.NET Core
  • WCF services to REST or gRPC APIs, Entity Framework 6 to EF Core
  • A React or Next.js front end for screens that need it
  • Tests around the critical flows before anything changes
  • Deployment to Linux, Docker or Azure with a CI/CD pipeline

§ Questions

Do we have to rewrite everything at once?

No. The app is moved one module at a time behind the same URLs, so users keep working and every step can be tested and rolled back.

How long does a migration take?

Small apps take a few weeks; large ones are split into stages. You get a timeline with the fixed quote after the code review.

Can you only fix or extend the old app instead?

Yes. If a full migration is not worth it yet, I can fix bugs, add features or connect the old app to new services.

§ Other services

AI integration & automation

AI added to your existing .NET, Node.js or small business app: chatbots on your own data, document processing and small AI automations.
